Choosing 10S or 10SK for double-edger finishing
A polishing wheel should be selected by the edge result required after the preceding grinding stages. The 10S wheel is generally reviewed for glass processors who prioritise a flat, clean and scratch-controlled edge rather than an additional brightening effect.
In suitable conditions, the 10S wheel can run with stable polishing pressure and produce an even finish while helping keep consumable use practical. The result still depends on the matched wheel sequence, water supply, machine condition and glass type.
For applications that require a clean edge together with a more pronounced brightening result, 10SK may be a better process match. It is not a simple replacement for 10S. Share the current wheel sequence and required finish to review the appropriate option before purchase.
