Fine polishing for a brighter ultra-clear glass edge
Two ultra-clear glass edges can look very different after machining. The difference often comes from the brightness and refinement of the final edge, not only from the glass itself. If the edge remains slightly hazy or lacks a clean optical appearance, the finished product can lose some of its premium character.
CX09 is reviewed as a final fine-polishing wheel when the process needs to improve edge brightness after the preceding grinding stages. It is commonly discussed for furniture glass, aquarium glass, shower enclosures and display applications where a clearer, more refined edge is important.
The correct result depends on matching CX09 to the double-edging machine, glass thickness, existing wheel sequence and required finish. Customers have reported an improved edge appearance after changing to a matched CX09 process, but the wheel should be tested in the actual production condition before defining a final standard.
